i spent a little time on vh1 classic yesterday. to my delight, they played one of lionel richie's hits that i haven't seen the video for in quite some time. i had just seen lionel on 'the view.' one of my good buddies stated quite simply that he needed to 'sit down' after watching him do his thing on 'the view' stage. i kinda agreed. i mean, i am all for continuing to create, but i don't know about the akon collabo.

anyhoo...so i am watching lionel's "running with the night" and besides trying to figure out if it was sheila e. in the video, i couldn't help but notice that ne-yo is the new school lionel. much has been said about ne-yo being reminiscent of michael jackson. yes, ne-yo can dance and some of his tracks have an 'off the wall' feel, but looking at 'running with the night,' there is no doubt that ne-yo would have been more in this lane, than michael's lane if he were crooning in the 80's.
